Recorded in nine and a half days, ‘Keep Bleeding’ marks a new chapter in the ever unfolding story of The Doublecross. A bruising collection of songs, its 12 tracks are underpinned with a challenging and often dark lyrical undertone.

“Keep Bleeding is the most lyrically honest and personal Doublecross record yet, featuring some of the darkest concepts I've ever touched on” Jon explains.

‘Keep Bleeding’ is not only a change of pace for the Cardiff based-band in terms of lyrics, musically too things are changing. Previous homages to the Americana of The Replacements and Lucero are bucked in favour of jangles of indie rock and 90s grunge. With several tracks which could be filed next to the likes of Teenage Fanclub, The Posies and the Manics.

While the album’s predecessor ‘The Timeless Destruction’ took over 5 years to develop and record, ‘Keep Bleeding’ was wrapped up in just over 4 months with the need to ‘perfect’ his ideas trading places with the need to express them.
